Project of Research & Development Centre for Mathematical Modeling

The Research and Development Centre for Mathematical Modelling (CMM) is a research centre affiliated to the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, University of Colombo. It was established in 2012 under the pioneering guidance of Dr. JK Wijerathna and Dr. SSN Perera with the expectation of providing a vibrant platform for both established and budding young researchers to undertake multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research activities through Mathematical Modelling.

The research conducted in the centre is based on both Theoretical and Applied Mathematics, and mainly focuses on developing practical solutions for real-world problems of vital importance.
